Colonial Avengers Cheerleading
The Colonial Avengers are proud members of the Pop Warner Little Scholars and Bux-Mont organizations. Pop Warner is a nonprofit organization that provides youth football and cheer programs for participants in 42 states and several countries around the world.
All Colonial Avenger families and coaches are committed to the fun, camaraderie and excitement that football and cheer can provide for the youth in our community.
The Colonial Avengers cheerleading offers a great experience for kids who want to cheer for a team and also participate in exhibitions or competitions. Our focus is on fun and physical fitness as we develop skills that will allow many to continue cheering for years to come. Colonial Avengers Cheer members will learn not only cheers, dance, tumbling and routines but also gain friendships and learn camaraderie with their teammates.
Our younger ages have the chance to learn cheer at a non-competitive level while our older girls have the chance to not only learn cheer but compete with the chance of moving on to Regional and Nationals Competitions. Colonial Avengers Cheer will begin the season cheering for our respective football teams. Most games are held on Saturday's (some Sundays) and we do occasionally travel locally.
Pop Warner Spirit teams have participated for several decades on the football sidelines (Pep Squads, Majorettes, etc.); however, cheerleading as we know it was officially introduced in the 1970’s. Today, thousands of youth participate in Pop Warner Cheerleading and Dance teams around the United States. The Cheer and Dance Program offers teams a wide range of opportunity for young athletes at all skill levels: Novice, Intermediate and Advanced.
Our cheer director and coaches will assess the proper level at which our girls will compete.
We ask during registration that you enter your child’s birthday, entering grade, and years of experience. This will help us to probably place your child and our cheer squad.
