Colonial Avengers Tackle Football

The Colonial Avengers are proud members of the Pop Warner Little Scholars and Bux-Mont organizations. Pop Warner is a nonprofit organization that provides youth football and cheer programs for participants in 42 states and several countries around the world.

All Colonial Avenger families and coaches are committed to the fun, camaraderie and excitement that football can provide for the youth in our community.
 
Colonial Avengers Football adheres to the rules of Pop Warner Little Scholars.  One of the foundation rules provides each player the opportunity to play in every game for a specified number of plays, so that each child has a chance to learn the game of football in a safe and competitive environment. We strive for each child to create great experiences and memories for themselves and the whole family.

We place players in divisions based on age and weight to ensure a safe environment on the field. If you are not sure which division is best for your child, do not worry - we will make sure each player is placed in the proper division by the start of the season.

All Colonial Avengers coaches adhere to the following coaching philosophy:

·To provide our children with a positive experience in football.
·Teach through positive reinforcement.
·Encourage that through hard work and perseverance anything can be achieved.
·Motivate and challenge all of the children on a team.
·Teach football fundamentals through Colonial Avengers systems to enable a good foundation for
future years.
·Be competitive but fair, be aggressive but respectful, be tough but compassionate and maintain
balance in your coaching.
· Win or lose, keep it fun and help explain the lessons along the way.  

With your registration fee the following equipment will be supplied – helmet, shoulder pads, game pants, and game jersey (to be returned at the end of the season). Each player will be required to purchase football cleats, mouth guard, cup and white practice football pants (purchased through Colonial Avengers).  All equipment supplied by the Avengers is scheduled to be handed out at the Avengers facility at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School.

Our Avengers’ Director of Football Operations and coaches will determine the appropriate level of competition for each player.

During the registration process please provide that you enter your child’s birthday, weight and years of experience. This will help us place your child on the appropriate football team or cheer squad.
